Fit: Spend a few
hours with Andrea Steell and cover some basic pattern alterations to get
personalized fit. $30

Sew: Bring your
favourite shirt pattern (or recently altered), fabric, some extras from
your stash and your imagination. We'll turn a simple garment into
something spectacular.

Reversible
Jacket:
Learn techniques from the designer. Let Andrea walk you through
making a reversible jacket with easy set in sleeves and shawl
collar. This jacket can be lengthened as required. Great class
to get back into sewing clothing.

Sassy
Skirt: Work through the basic design skills with
Andrea. You will be amazed how easy it is!!! Learn to make a
pattern for a straight skirt. Change out the details to make it
yours. A simple flattering straight skirt with a kick pleat in the back
for walking.

Beginner Sewing - Bathrobe: This
beginner class is for those who are a bit comfortable with some basic sewing techniques
or have taken the Beginner Sewing - Sewing Tools. Students will
learn more about choosing the right size patterns and making some simple
length alterations as they sew a bathrobe. $100 pattern
included.

Sewing: Learn how to use a
sewing machine while you sew two great projects. Students will also
learn how to use various sewing tools properly and safely.

Choose a simple pant pattern
and learn how to alter it to fit your body. Some pre-class work is
required.

Beginner Sewing - Tunic:
Pick up where you left off in Adult Beginner Sewing -Bathrobe, or jump right in
if you
have the skills. In this class we'll focus on bust and width adjustments as
we pin fit the pattern paper and sew the tunic. We'll also look as some
short cuts for sewing. (Students should have a good handle on the
objective for Adult Beginner Sewing -Bathrobe) $90

Beginner Sewing - Pants/Skirt: We've done the upper body, now
lets sew up something for the lower body. With the help of the instructor,
chose a simple pattern for pants or a skirt and learn how to make adjustments
for the waist and hip. (Students should have a good handle on the
objective for Adult Beginner Sewing -Bathrobe and Tunic) $90

Creative
Jacket:
Create a great work of art as you sew this simply structured jacket.
Explore a variety of embellishing techniques using your sewing machine and/or a
serger. $120 pattern and sample supplies included

Pant
Drafting: Draft
your own pant pattern. This class will teach you how to measure accurately
and draft for a well fitting pair of pants. We will have sufficient time
to sew a "trial" (or muslin) pair of pants to check the fit.

Bra
Making 101:
Let Jane help you to
fit and sew a professionally made bra that fits you perfectly. On day 2,
Learn how to add designer details to
your second bra. The cost includes kits for both bras. You will be
required to come Friday evening
for a pre-class fitting appointment. $220 includes
bra supplies.

Making Sew Day: If you have sewn a bra in Jane's class and want
to continue working on your "bra in process" or start a new one, join
us for a sew day and Jane will coach you. Supplies will be available for
purchase if needed. $70

 Jeans:
Sewing a pair of jeans is quite easy with the KwikSew pattern. the
instructions are clear and the pattern fits well. Students should be able
to wear their jeans home! Some pre-class work will be required. $90

Drafting-Sew Need help sewing the pants you drafted? This time
will give you hands-on help to complete a great pair of pants. TBA

Sewing the Kwik-Sew Way: We
are excited about our new program. A 6-lesson session for any sewer. The
goal is to use the Kwik-Sew pattern book and give students an increased
confidence in sewing, while challenging and exploring creativity. Join at
any time as we sew T-shirts, Blouses/Shirts/Jackets, pants and

with a basic T-Shirt and then make alterations to the pattern and learn

fit the crotch and prevent uneven skirt hems.

Cloning
101:
Do
you have a favourite garment, that fits you like a dream?
In this class, you will learn how to copy ready-to wear, without having
to cut it apart to make the pattern pieces.
This is both a demonstration and hands on class. Please bring with you, a
simple, well fitting garment, that you would like to copy. (keeping details to a
minimum). With this technique, you
will be able to successfully copy almost anything. $30
